What We Do...

The purpose of the Seneca Historical Guild is to bring together people interested in history, and especially in the history of Seneca, Illinois. The Guild’s major function is to discover, collect, observe, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Seneca.

The Seneca Historical Guild’s original mission was to gather and preserve historical facts and photos in preparation for the Village of Seneca’s 2015 Anniversary Celebration.  Since that time we have published "The Story of Seneca, Illinois" and have established the Seneca Area Historical Museum and Research Center.
